I'll be bitching all night long after this catastrophe. What a wreck. Oh, let me count the ways I hate thee:
During the teaser I thought CA was having another earthquake. Are they unable to afford tripods at this point? They had better cinematography in S1, and back then they couldn't even afford to have coffee in place of water!
How come both groups came to completely different conclusions? Where exactly were Faith and company, anyway? Why was ED's acting so bad? Why are Buffy's eyes suddenly two distinctly different colors? Why do I care?
Buffy's supposed to be a female knight, yet she can't even take care of herself. Well, aside from kicking people out of their own house - something Spike should have picked up on when he entered without an invitation. Why does this girl still fight? Does she have any motivation anymore other than the promise of someone else kissing her ass when she's done? She's so weak in this episode it's pathetic. "Hold me." Gag me. What exactly did Spike say that was so moving? He sounded like a little kid in a candy store.
Right now Andrew, Dawn, Giles, and Xander are the only ones who are still trying to free themselves from the writing that stinketh. Funnily enough, they don't get much screentime. I'll gripe about Caleb and the orgy later.
The dreaded music video montage is back, and I fear it.

Vandalismo(TWoP) hat geschrieben:This episode has sapped my will to live. Seriously. I was thoroughly spoiled and yet I still came out feeling so bored, so insulted, and so disappointed.
Willow - when did she turn into whatever that quivering stupid mess she is now? Finish a sentence Willow. And you still know stuff. Give me a break. And why are you with that horrible pushy woman who never shuts it? Come on.
Xander. I guess I'm glad you got some. Too bad it probably didn't mean shit. Oh, and I would have preferred a conversation between you and Faith about a thousand times more. I still love you though.
Buffy. You kick a defenseless guy out of his house out of brattiness? Why do you suck now?
Spike. After two episodes of actually kind of liking you again, I expected to hate you after reading the spoils. Instead I just feel sorry for you. You gave Buffy the same speech she's heard from her boyfriend's before, coming dangerously close to matching Angel's "in blah blah years I've only loved one person". You'd think they'd give you your own spiel if they're going to make you bow down to the great Buffy again. Oh, that's right, I forgot, they took your personality.
I really have no reaction to the sexathon because I didn't care. Whatever. I thought I'd find the Spuffy scene gross, but instead I found it kind of funny the way they looked like wax figures awkwardly staring at each other. The talking parts were gross though. Good to see the bad fan fic talk making a reappearance.
Buffy gets a weapon and Faith gets a bomb. Yeah, ok, whatever. And please leave the Matrix style fighting to AtS because your production values are shit.
I guess Buffy just needed sleep. Too bad she didn't listen when Joyce told her or when Willow told her. Guess they really did need to kick her out on her ass.
You know what the funniest part is? I'm a total masochist for watching "Lover's Walk" and "The Wish" right before this ep. I knew better and yet I still did it.
In summation - Mayor Wilkins, I love you baby, but even you can't empty the water out of this ship fast enough.

Cleopatra hat geschrieben:Spike, you piece of shit. You suck more than ever. You define yourself by whoever you "love" - you're worse than Willow when it comes to that. You have no right to lecture the Scoobies about Buffy. As I recall, they've been fighting with her from the very beginning, and you only started when you realized you had a boner for her. In fact, I think you've become Buffy, because you punch anyone who disagrees with you or her. Faith says something you don't want to hear, and you clock her. And your comment about Faith finally "getting what she wanted?" Uncalled for. You suck so much. You don't even know Faith. And I know you want to make Buffy feel better, but you cannot kick Faith's ass. Sorry. You got in what, two punches, and she wiped the floor with you. Go stake yourself, you worthless asshole.
Kennedy. I hate Kennedy more than I hate Spike. At least James Marsters knows how to act, while Iyari Limon has no clue.
Killow. My eyes. My eyyyyyes! I am traumatized for life.
THE MAYOR! Harry Groener, how I love thee. It's been four years since you and Eliza Dushku have had any scenes together, but you've still got it.

armchairtubecritic(TWoP) hat geschrieben:WOW The writers must really be out of gas to have passed this dreck off as a buffy sweeps episode let alone one of its last episodes ever.
Buffy who died for these idiots gets kicked out of her own home? Then hero she is kicks a guy out of his?
Did I understand this rignt, Dawn knows a spell to talk to the dead and Willow hasn't used it to talk to Tara or Dawn to Joyce? Isn't this the one year anniversary of tara's death? So instead of a touching moment with a spell to talk to her slaughtered lover and make peace with herself and her magical powers, Willow has meaningless sex?
What purpose did this ep serve to advance the plot anyway? Buffy got her butt kicked and her troops killed fighting this evil and its minions so why isn't she using the troll hammer to fight the bringers and ubervamps and caleb ?
What ever happened to that big olde diamond with mystical powers? Did they hock it to feed the horde of useless slayer wannabes that are crawling all over the Summers home? Inquiring minds want to know -really if you had the hammer that could hurt a god why not use it on a vamp? WE have two eps left, and yet we're getting more bodies and less sense all the time.
I thought whedon had crowed about being above using fem:fem sex as a ratings ploy? Or wait, are we suppose to think buffy wanting to be held by her attempted rapist was for the good? as opposed to the meaningless hump fest that was going on in the summers house between three couples with no love and even less chemistry between them? cause I'm not seeing a whole lot of positive message here.
They brought Faith back why? So as to ruin all my good memories of this show?
Two episodes left and they are just sitting around wasting film on this?
Pityful

cheesesteak hat geschrieben:What a crud bucket of an episode. The third to last episode and they had 15 minutes worth of product. Everything else was useless filler.
As a continuation from the previous episode, I would have mimicked the Ikea commercial. We'd open with Buffy standinig outside Casa Summers, huddled against a wall, crying in the rain. We see Faith, the Scoobs and the SiTs smiling and having a good time through the living room window. We flash back to devastated, miserable Buffy shivering in the cold night looking heartbroken and lonely. Then a voice says: "You feel sorry for this Slayer? Why? That is stupid. This slayer isn't human. She has no feelings".
What happened to Giles? He exhibited zero leadership in a house full of teenage girls. Second worse character assassination after Buffy. Did ME remove his balls too when they castrated Spike?
Why is Willow nervous/afraid of Spike? She's a billion times more powerful than that Buffy whipped nancy boy. God, I wished Faith would have killed him. Drusilla, Drusilla hear my prayer! Please return and dust this miserable excuse for a vampire.
A worthless episode. This might be the worst Buffy episode of all time.
All the women had sex with their bras/tops on. Sure glad I'm not dating any of them.

I get the point of the long winded and poorly executed 'Love' montage, but it dosen't work if can't take this latest and greatest apocalypse seriously. What kind of 'evil' is about? Its trying to end the Slayer line. Whoopee... Wow, that is so much more evil than Glory using to the key to disintegrate the universe or Angel using Acathala to suck the world into a hell dimension.
And poor Eliza Dushku! No wonder she wouldn't take them up on a series. ME has been able to drain all the energy out of Faith. This is a character who has chemistry with drywall! The Wood & Faith sequence was so par for the course and a non event, I pity any and all recappers.
I am also thrilled for Buffy. Good olde fascist, heartless, Buffy was right. Forget that Faith & company showed more initiative and planning than Buffy demonstrated all season, they were wrong and Buffy was right.
Edited to add the following: If you have a bomb, and you know where your enemies are, why create a convuluted plan which requires your enemies to caputure one of foot soldiers, perform some spell on said foot soldier to discover a secret location, and then place the bomb in said secret location. Why not drop it off in the back yard of Fortress Summers and sit back and watch the fireworks??
Thank Gawd its almost over...

1. Ok, ich denke, spätestens nach deinem 1. Post zu dieser Folge haben wir alle eingesehen, dass 'Touched' nicht gerade zu deinen Lieblings.Eps gehört.
2.Ok, 'Television without Pity' is ne lustige Seite.
