EWAN READY TO TEAM UP WITH TRAINSPOTTING PALS AGAIN

EWAN McGREGOR is set to reprise the Renton role that made him famous in a sequel to Trainspotting.

The Scots actor has revealed to 192 he has finished reading Irvine Welsh's follow-up Porno - and is ready to sign on the dotted line.

The news follows 192's story last Thursday when we told you that Trainspotting director Danny Boyle had spoken to Ewan - for the first time in five years.

The pair fell out when Danny, who'd cast Ewan as his lead in his first three films - Shallow Grave, Trainspotting and A Life Less Ordinary - dropped him as lead for The Beach.

Ewan revealed: "After reading Porno, I thought ... do I really want to do Renton again? I was sceptical that we could pull it off a second time, so I said no. But it was so nice just to find out what they were all up to - Sick Boy, wee Spud and Begbie - I thought it was a real treat to read it."

No script has yet been written and Ewan - who was named UK Personality of the Year at The British Independent Film Awards this week - said: "I'd have to read it, but I am no longer negative."

Robert Carlyle, who played Begbie, has said he'd do it if Boyle directs, Ewan Bremner - who played Spud and teamed up with McGregor in Black Hawk Down - and Jonny Lee Miller (Sick Boy) are also thought to be keen.

Ja, das habe ich im Board schon gelesen. Allerdings kann ich die Files auf ihrer Seite nicht finden. Es kommt mir irgendwie so vor, als wird sie bei mir nicht aktuallisiert.
