also, ich hab eher das gefühl, das war erst so ne art vorveranstaltung, in der firefly buffy den award weggeschnappt hat. ich meine, überall steht, das rtl2 die veranstaltung live überträgt ..

warum sollten die live schreiben, wenns garnicht live ist? und dann gibts auch keinen sinn, das mitten in der nacht zu senden. ausserdem kann man nirgends, auch nicht auf emmys.com irgendwelche fotos oder ergebnisse oder sonstwas sehn.

afteredit: hab jetzt bei yahoo was gefunden, und zwar, das am 13.9. die verleihung der Emmy creative arts awards war, ist das die richtige verleihung gewesen?

ja, athena, das könnte sein. beim echo verleihen sie auch schon einen tag vorher irgendwelche preise, die ugly sind. *gg* man kann das natürlich nicht vergleichen. obwohl vorhin auf yahoo war ein bild von einem schauspieler

Ich erinnere mich an einen Audiokommentar auf einer Futurama-DVD. Einer der Crew hatte Mühe seinen Eltern zu erklären wie er einen Emmy gewinnen konnte, ohne bei der Verleihung gewesen zu sein, die im Fernsehen übertragen wurde.
Es gibt also definitiv diese Auslagerung der technischen Preise.

Das mit den vorgezogenen "technischen" Awards konnten wir nun ja klären ... aber absolut dämlich, dass da anscheinend auch Nebendarsteller reinfallen. Christina Applegate beispielsweise, die für "Friends" gewonnen hat, hätte ich gern gesehen.

@Spikes_Luv: Ich bin ganz stark dazu verführt. Meine einzige Sorge besteht darin, dass mein Rhythmus dann gänzlich aus den Fugen gerät. Gehe zur zeit immer gegen 2,3 ins Bett und stehe erst um 11,12 wieder auf Aber irgendwie wird mich das wohl nicht davon abhalten. Vielleicht schaue ich in den Pausen auch hier mal rein.
Die Show soll ja von 2.00 bis um 5.00 dauern.

Gestern habe ich wieder etwas Radio gehört - den Sender der hier stationierten amerikanischen Streitkräfte. Da spekulierten sie auch etwas über die Gewinner und räumten HBO die meisten Chancen ein. Als Favoriten wurden eigentlich hauptsächlich "The Sopranos" und "Six Feet Under" genannt ... und sie meinten, dass "Everybody Loves Raymond" wohl mit mindestens zwei Preisen rechnen könnte. Die haben ja auch bei den Screen Actors' Guild Awards das eine oder andere bekommen ... und ich habe mich echt gewundert. Hier lief/läuft die Serie ja auch - nur absolut unbeachtet. Habe mir bisher auch nicht eine Episode ganz angesehen.

Myers, Parker, LeBlanc, Schwimmer and Perry Round Out Emmy Comic Team

Mike Myers, Sarah Jessica Parker, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry have rounded out the all-star list of comedians taking part in the 55th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. In a change from previous years, there is no host for this year's broadcast. But if there were a host, its name would be comedy.

"We're looking forward to Sunday night," said producer Don Mischer. "We're very excited about the concept of focusing on comedy and having so many different comics. We think it's going to make for a very unpredictable show. It might be a bit of a roller coaster ride, but I think it's going to make the show better."

The announcement finalizing the list of presenters was made by Academy Chairman Bryce Zabel from the Shrine Auditorium, where workers ceremoniously unrolled the red carpet in preparation for this year's festivities. Zabel expressed his excitment as the preparations progressed.

"What we're assembling inside is really what amounts to a little city, said Zabel. "People are building and carrying and dragging things around, and by Sunday, it'll become a vibrant city of its own. And that's the magic of television."

Bernie Mac and Dennis Miller have been added to the all-star list of comedians taking part in the 55th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. In a change from previous years, there is no host (or co-hosts) for this year’s broadcast.

"The comedians taking part in this year’s show will each be participating in a variety of ways," said executive producer Don Mischer. "Some may perform a comedic bit, some may be roving reporters, others will be presenting awards, some may have a combination of functions, but all will lend their unique styles of comedy to their appearances."

Previously announced cast members are Ellen DeGeneres, Brad Garrett, Darrell Hammond, George Lopez, Conan O’Brien, Garry Shandling, Martin Short, Jon Stewart and Wanda Sykes, with more participants to be confirmed in the near future.

"We wanted to try something different this year with the Emmys," said Mischer. "Instead of one comedic point of view running through the show, there will be many. Each act of the three-hour broadcast will begin with a different comic personality."

Bernie Mac is the star of The Bernie Mac Show, which earned him two consecutive Emmy nominations in 2002 and 2003. The show itself has won several awards including an Emmy in 2002 for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series, the Peabody Award, two Television Critics Association Awards and two NAACP Image Awards. His most recent film credits include Charlie’s Angels 2: Full Throttle, Head of State, and Ocean’s 11.

Dennis Miller is a five-time Emmy Award winner for his critically acclaimed talk show Dennis Miller Live on HBO, which just ended its nine-year run. His most recent appearance on HBO was for his own special The Raw Feed which aired in April of 2003. Currently, Miller provides weekly commentary for the Fox News Channel.

Ellen DeGeneres, a ten-time Emmy nominee and former host of the Emmys, has received one Emmy award and is currently starring as the voice of Dory in the animated film Finding Nemo. DeGeneres is launching her new syndicated daytime talk show on September 8th.

Brad Garrett is a two-time Emmy nominee for his role as Robert Barone in the hit series Everybody Loves Raymond, including his nomination this year as outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series. Garrett was the first grand champion winner in the comedy category on Star Search and maintains a successful television and film career.

Darrell Hammond has brought to life a cavalcade of politicians, media figures, celebrities and news makers on television as a cast member of Saturday Night Live. Now entering his eighth season with the show, Hammond has mimicked a wide range of people including President Bill Clinton, Vice President Al Gore, Sean Connery, Regis Philbin, Dan Rather, John Travolta, Jesse Jackson, Richard Dreyfus, Jay Leno and Ted Koppel.

Currently starring in the comedy series named after him, George Lopez continues to sell out comedy clubs and theatres across the country and has earned kudos for his dramatic role in the feature Bread and Roses. He has also had recurring roles in The Brothers Garcia and Resurrection Boulevard.

Conan O’Brien’s unique brand of comedy has earned him the title "Late Night’s King of Cool" from Entertainment Weekly and landed him on the magazine’s list of the "50 Funniest People Alive." A seven-time Emmy nominee, O’Brien brought his wit and style to his hosting duties on the 54th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.

A former host of the Emmys, Garry Shandling is a recipient of 19 Emmy nominations. Shandling’s subsequent series, The Larry Sanders Show, received a record-breaking 78 Emmy nominations, including one Emmy win for Shandling for outstanding writing for a comedy series.

Martin Short gives life to his 300-pound alter-ego Jiminy Glick, the legendary interviewer to the stars, in the fictitious talk show Primetime Glick. Short, creator, executive producer and star of Primetime Glick, is nominated this year for an Emmy award in the outstanding individual performance in a music program category, bringing his Emmy total to six nominations and one win. Short can currently be seen in the Los Angeles production of the Broadway smash play The Producers.

As host of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Jon Stewart won an Emmy for outstanding writing in a variety, music or comedy program. He has been nominated a total of eight times including his nomination this year for outstanding individual performance in a variety or music program. Prior to taking over The Daily Show, Stewart appeared in feature films and television.

Wanda Sykes currently stars in the Fox series Wanda At Large. In addition to her series, Sykes serves as a field correspondent on Inside the NFL and can be heard as multiple voices on Crank Yankers. She is the recipient of three Emmy nominations and one Emmy win for her writing on The Chris Rock Show.

Oh ja, am besten so pfiffige Simultanübersetzer, die die Hälfte weglassen und dann in die interessanten Stellen reinquatschen . Man versucht die ganze Zeit, das Englische zu verfolgen und bekommt am Ende gar nichts mit. Wenn schon, dann bitte Untertitel...

Ich bin mal gespannt, wie viel ich von der Sendung mitkriege, werds wohl besser mal aufnehmen, sicher ist sicher . Vielleicht wirds ja auch total öde...

Ich bin mir sicher, dass sie es nachts so lassen wie es ist - mache mir eher wegen der Werbepausen Sorgen (dass wir was verpassen, wenn's mal wieder zu lang war) Wenn es eine Wiederholung gibt, dann dürften die aber Untertitel oder Synchro bringen.
